Senior Band Vacancies

Backworth Colliery Band is an ambitious and progressive lower-section band, based on the north-east outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne, with good transport links to the City Centre and other destinations.

The band currently has vacancies for the following seats:

In addition, we welcome interest from cornet players and percussionists who would be interested in coming along to rehearsal.

We also have a flexible approach to membership, with several players in the band happy to move seats if the right players wish to join.

Prospective members are more than welcome to come to one of our practices. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings. We have several instruments that can be loaned if required.
